Frequently asked questions

Custody, permissions, fees, selection and replacement — answered directly.

In short

In short: HyperMirror is non-custodial. Your USDC never leaves your own Hyperliquid account, you approve a scoped agent wallet plus a 0.1% builder fee, each copied leader trades inside its own sub-account, full diversification unlocks at $100k of volume, and you can pause, stop or revoke access at any time.

Everything traders ask first

Still unclear on something? Email support and we will answer it in plain language.

Is HyperMirror custodial?

No. You keep your funds in your own Hyperliquid account. There is no pooled treasury and no company wallet. You approve a trading agent, which is a permission — not a transfer.

Can the agent withdraw my funds?

No. The agent approval grants trade-only permission. Withdrawals and transfers remain exclusively signable by your wallet, and you can revoke the approval at any time.

What is the builder fee?

A transparent 0.1% builder fee on mirrored volume, paid through Hyperliquid's native builder-fee mechanism. You approve a maximum fee rate up front, and it is the only way we earn revenue.

What is Starter mode versus Full mode?

Under $100k of mirrored volume you run Starter mode: one elite trader with full risk controls in a single sub-account. From $100k, Full mode unlocks up to 10 traders running in parallel, each isolated and score-weighted.

How are the Top 10 traders selected?

Candidates are drawn from a large tracked set of on-chain Hyperliquid wallets and scored on public performance: activity, realized performance, risk and account survivability. Entry prefers active wallets with sufficient account size and roughly 90+ days of measurable activity. Capital is then weighted by score rather than split evenly.

When is a leader removed from the basket?

Two ways. Emergency removal is immediate: account value below roughly $1,000, or no fill for 96 hours or more combined with zero trades in the last 7 days. Otherwise removal runs through soft strikes — a strike is issued on a day with a soft issue, and three strike-days trigger replacement.

What is a strike?

A strike is one flagged evaluation day. Soft issues are: fewer than 5 trades in 7 days, 7-day volume under $25,000, or 48 hours or more since the last fill; a 30-day trading max drawdown above 35% on jump-adjusted equity; or a 30-day PnL-based ROI below -15%. At most one strike is recorded per wallet per UTC calendar day, and a clean evaluation day resets the counter to zero.

Why didn't a higher-ROI wallet replace one of my leaders immediately?

Because a higher composite score alone never forces a replacement. The Elite basket is sticky by design: rotating on rank every snapshot would churn leaders on statistical noise, close sleeves at market and pay taker cost plus the builder fee each time. A leader leaves the basket when a rule removes them, not when someone else looks better this week.

How do you stop withdrawals from looking like drawdowns?

Deposits and withdrawals move raw account value without any trade taking place, so a naive peak-to-trough on account value would read a withdrawal as a loss. Drawdown used for risk gates is computed on jump-adjusted equity, which separates funding movements from trading results. ROI is likewise measured from PnL rather than raw balance change.

How often are leaders replaced?

As often as the rules fire and no more. Soft issues are evaluated daily and need three strike-days to remove a leader, so ordinary deterioration takes days to resolve. Emergencies are acted on as soon as they are detected. There is no fixed rotation schedule.

Where do my funds stay?

Always in your Hyperliquid account and its sub-accounts. Deposits are made directly on Hyperliquid, never to us. Balances, positions and history stay auditable on-chain under your address.

Can I stop anytime?

Yes. Pause Autopilot from your dashboard, or revoke the agent approval on-chain. Existing positions remain yours to manage or close as you choose.
